Dear CDTSA members,
As changes are made on the rules how we can interact by the health authorities we have to adjust our procedures at the ranges.
We are one of the few ranges that are open in the province. The members for the most part have been doing a great job in following the guidelines we have set forth and as long as we continue to do so, it will allow us to keep the ranges open for as long as possible.
Due to the 15-person rule set forth we have made the following adjustments. The rules are for both Milo and Shepard.
1) Rifle Bays: Every shooter has to have an empty shooting bench between them. No more than two people at each bench and they need to be family members.
2) Pistol bays: Every shooter can have 2 family members max but there must be 2 meters of separation between other shooters on the bench or on the shooting range.
3) Archery: 2 meters of separation between shooters
For example: If you have a family of 4 registered in your membership, you may have 2 at the bench and the other 2 need to be in your vehicle. No one can be observing on the shooting bay. If the bays become busy you must shoot for a maximum of 30 minutes only to allow other members to shoot.
Once again, a reminder that you are all Range officers and must ensure that these rules are strictly adhered to. We will be doing random checks and if we find that the rules are not followed, we will be forced to shut down the entire range and deal with the offenders accordingly.
Regards, Your CDTSA board
